"Look Back At It"~ 23

So it happened, I turned 23 this past Monday! So crazy but also awesome! So far 23 has been great and I know this year is going to hold a ton of awesome memories and firsts! To celebrate my birthday Mitchell, my parents and I went to see the new Disney movie "Alice Through the Looking Glass"! It was quite entertaining, but how could it not be when combining Disney, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and the late Alan Rickman! :( I really enjoyed the character of Father Time (Sacha Baron Cohen), he was quite funny and not really at all what I was expecting, definitely a pleasant surprise. But I must say even with its great message of not wasting the time we have and that we should learn from the past, I for sure still like the first movie a little bit better! It's just such a classic.

For my birthday I also took the afternoon to book Evelyn Barkey Photography (go check her out and show her some love) for a photo session just simply... because! I treated myself to an afternoon of fun, I had never had my photos taken of just me, and I must say it felt amazing to just do that for myself and I felt like a million bucks! I still truly believe that it is so important to take those times to love yourself and feel good in your own skin, and just give yourself a little confidence boost! You won't regret it ladies, I challenge you to in some way this week find something that you can do for just you and treat yourself well! :)

This week the blooms have been so lovely here at the farm, but nothing compares to the gorgeousness of the lilac bushes this year! They have just been absolutely stunning, and made an appearance in my birthday photos! But I also had to go out with my camera and document them before they disappear!
