Senior Portraits ~ Celebrate Your Grad

Graduation is almost here! It's an exciting time of the year, kids are on the edge of summer and ready to plunge right in! For High School seniors this is the big finale, they are about to graduate which is what they have been waiting forever for and now it is finally here! This summer is, in a way, their last summer as "kids" before they become "adults" and venture out into the real world wether they go to University/College, to the work field or travel the world. Literally they have the world at their fingertips!

While I was in the USA this past year while visiting with Mitchell I noticed that our American neighbours make so much more of a big deal than we do about their kids succeeding in things; wether it's school, cheerleading or sports to name a few. I think it is awesome that the Grad's parents really celebrate their kid's hard work. And part of that celebrating includes "Senior Year Portraits"! Yes they still get the photos from from the school with the cap, gown and fake diploma but these "Senior Year Portraits" are amazing because they are of the Grad in their element and in a natural, fun and comfortable state! Wether it's a shoot based around a sport they play, a hobby, in their hometown or just of them dressed up in their fave clothes feeling like a million bucks!

So why don't we as Canadians celebrate our kids/youth this way? Parents, book a "Senior Year Portrait" shoot for your Grad and capture this exciting and fleeting time in their life! I guarantee you won't regret having these moments frozen in time for years to come!
