Cody & Natalie ~ Engagement 2017
On July 28th I had the privilege of shooting Cody and Natalie's Engagement photos! We drove up to Ragged Falls on Friday night just as the light was entering that sweet "Golden Hour" and climbed to the top of the rapids and took our time working our way back down to the bottom. The lighting was so warm and lovely, and as always it was so much fun to work with Cody and Natalie. You can truly tell how in love they are and how excited they are for their upcoming wedding this September! I am so excited for my little brother and soon to be sister!
During this shoot I tried a new approach (for me) and instead of posing every little move, I asked them to do something. For example I would say "Holding hands, walk down this river line and then Cody help Natalie up onto that rock". Then I would shoot the whole time and I'm finding with this approach I was able to capture those very real moments and sweet laughs. I personally love the candid moments.

And we happened upon a sweet little baby snapping turtle at the end of the shoot! I love little unexpected surprises like this!
