Boudoir... Yes, You Read That Correctly!

Alright here we go, I am finally announcing my new offer for "Jasmine Sommer Photography"! I have been planning and thinking about offering "Boudoir Sessions" for quite a while now but didn't really know how to go about sharing it with my audience. I know "Boudoir Photography" for some can have a bad rep and to many it is seen as silly, pointless, trashy or inappropriate. But for me I keep coming back to the beauty, sweetness and love that can come from these beautiful and intimate images. I want my Boudoir images to portray exactly those elements and to be seen differently than most "Boudoir Photography", so I sat down and really brainstormed how I want my images and sessions to be different.

1. I want to focus on the sweet and feminine side of boudoir. I want all of my brides, newlyweds and deeply in love wives to walk away from their shoot feeling empowered and knowing that God has created them perfectly. (Psalms 139:14 "For I am fearfully and wonderfully made...") So often these days femininity can be seen as a negative thing or a weakness but I think it is something so special and is often overlooked or forgotten. Your unique beauty should be celebrated, and sometimes we all need reminders of how truly beautiful we are and what better way than capturing your beauty through a boudoir session?

2. I will only be offering hard copies of these images. This is likely the biggest difference with my Boudoir sessions from others, I will not be handing over the digital copies from your session as I feel these images are too important to just be thrown on a computer or shared online. I 110% believe these extremely intimate images should only be for the eyes of you and your husband. I know this can be a strange thought for some but I believe there is something so special about having images that are solely for your hubby's eyes. In today's world where everyone shares EVERYTHING isn't there something awesome about knowing you have something that is just for the two of you?

3. An intimate gift for your husband. I truly believe (as a new wife) that it is so very important to love on your husband in unique ways and to remind him how much you love him. Love on your man daily whether it's a love note, a slow dance in the kitchen or a night in just the two of you. Giving him a gorgeous image of you will be a daily reminder of how much you love him. In a world where we are bombarded with half-naked models everyday a gorgeous image of his wife should be what comes to his mind not some advertisement he's seen on TV.
